“Rapture Reality” takes a hard look at what scripture says about “The Rapture”.
There’s a divide in the Christian world about “The Rapture”. This site is about investigating the scriptures (which by the way, do not include the word “rapture” anywhere), and seeing where they lead. Follow us as we put forth a case you can compare to the mainstream Christianity teaching and make up your own mind.
Why is this such a divisive subject? Because it has opposing conclusions.
The Mainstream Belief (this is not a joke): Jesus is coming (NOT touching the ground. He just hovers in the air.) in a secret and silent rescue of all the Christian’s (both dead and alive), to save them from the seven years of The Great Tribulation. When that’s over, the real second coming of Christ occurs, along with all of us, now well trained for seven years to ride battle horses and fight!
What The Bible Says: 1 Thess 4: 16-17
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
What’s the difference?
The first tells Christian’s “Just sit back, do nothing, but wait for the secret stealth rescue mission to whisk you to safety before the Antichrist takes over and all hell breaks loose during the great tribulation.”
The second tells Christian’s “We’re here for the duration, right up to Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s going to be a long tough fight. A test of your endurance. The opportunity to continue the disciples work of the Great Commission right up to the end. The “Rapture” (or ‘caught up’ in that verse), is described as a very public, and very loud event. The whole world will watch the event unfold in real time.”
